Virtual Internship Program - Week 1

Congratulations on choosing to participate in the Virtual Internship Program on Web Development with Open Weaver! This 4-week program is designed to be an interactive & practical internship and will help you gain industry-ready skills through project-based learning. The internship will consist of 3 Bootcamps (1 per week) , a few coding exercises, a project, and a final assessment.

WEEK 1 - WEB DEVELOPMENT

Today, our focus will be on how HTML/CSS creates and styles web pages, empowering us to design visually engaging layouts and deliver rich content. With HTML’s structural elements and CSS’s powerful styling properties, we can shape the digital landscape and bring our creative visions to life. Through today’s Bootcamp and this week’s exercises, we will learn the essentials of HTML and CSS, including how to create Tags, Elements, lists, & Hyperlinks to start building your own beautifully designed web pages.

It is mandatory for you to complete your weekly Coding Exercises in order to receive your Internship Completion Certificate.

Coding Exer

Below are two sample coding exercises that will help you advance in your journey in HTML/CSS. To get started, use the relevant keywords to search for simple code snippets in the search bar on kandi.

Sample Exercise 1 - Heading tag < h >: The < h1 > to < h6 > tags are used to define HTML headings. < h1 > defines the most important heading. < h6 > defines the least important heading.

Sample Exercise 2 - Image tag in HTML < img >: The < img > tag is used to embed an image in an HTML page. The < img > tag has two required attributes:

  • src - Specifies the path to the image.
  • alt - Specifies an alternate text for the image, if the image for some reason cannot be displayed.
